Treatment details
Recovery through targeted infusion therapy for long-COVID
Around 10 to 15 percent of all people infected with SARS-CoV-2 are affected by long/post-COVID syndrome, including a strikingly high number of young people. Those affected most frequently complain of extreme fatigue, shortness of breath and problems with memory and concentration. Treatment options are currently still limited. Mainly supportive measures such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychotherapy are used, as well as attempts at symptom-oriented drug treatment, which, however, often show no positive change. Long-term courses also show typical symptoms that can be attributed to the disease ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome).
Dr. Wagener’s practice supports affected patients with various infusion concepts, also in cooperation with REHAB Basel.
